According to a report, a new animation has been found after the second beta copy of Android 12L was released on Wednesday, indicating that the company’s foldable smartphone may resemble the recently announced Oppo Find N. Two new animations discovered after the release of Android 12L Beta 2 showcased how to install a SIM card into a foldable phone in Android 12L Beta 2. They resemble the animations used nowadays while setting up a Pixel, during the stage where the phone requests a SIM card or eSIM. More notably, the “Pipit” codename of the Pixel Fold is mentioned in the animation’s code. At the bottom is a SIM tray, and on the right side is a volume rocker. As per the report, the first animation illustrates a folded gadget with a strong design and an evident volume rocker on the right-hand side. A hinge is visible on the left and the SIM card slot is positioned on the bottom. The animation is believed to illustrate the smaller, outer display of the Pixel Fold. While the second animation depicts the same gadget in a more expansive, unfurled configuration. There’s a slight indentation where the hinge is positioned on both the top and bottom. The SIM card tray is on the same half of the phone as the external display in this fresh perspective of the identical SIM installation process which is somewhat similar to Oppo Find N. The shown device’s interior display is said to have a 7:8 ratio based on some meticulous measurements. The Pixel Fold was supposed to have a 7.6-inch inner display, in comparison to the Oppo Find N, which has a 7.1-inch inner display. As mentioned earlier, the Google Pixel Fold/foldable smartphone was spotted listed on Geekbench codenamed Pipit some time ago. As per the listing the device will include an octa-core processor with two performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz, two cores clocked at 2.25GHz, and four efficiency cores rated at 1.8GHz. The benchmarking listing also stated that the foldable phone will offer 12GB of RAM and the processor is believed to be a Google Tensor SoC. Furthermore, the listing mentions the presence of Mali G78 GPU and the device managed to achieve a single-core score of 4,811 points and a multi-core score of 11,349 points. Previously, the Google Pixel Foldable smartphone was tipped to get a 12.2MP IMX363 camera sensor that was provided on the previous generations of Pixel devices like Pixel 3 and Pixel 5. It may also include a 12MP IMC386 ultra-wide-angle sensor along with two 8MP IMX355 sensors for taking selfies and video calling. Because the gadget is still under development, we recommend using the given information with caution until the manufacturer verifies it.
