The delicate foldable phone has been in the news for its innovative design and its controversy related to issues with regard to its display. The phone was first introduced at MCW 2019 and some of its units were sent to the reviewers that found few glitches on its foldable display. After the awkward launch, the company reworked on the phone and was relaunched in September. After the fresh launch, the company sold 500,000 units of Galaxy Fold. Samsung’s President Young Sohn has now revealed that the company has reached sales figures of I million units of Galaxy Fold. In an interview with TechCrunch Young Sohn said,” “And I think that the point is, we’re selling [a] million of these products. There’s a million people that want to use this product at $2,000.” In India, Samsung launched Galaxy Fold at Rs 1,64,999 for the single 12GB of RAM with 512GB of internal storage variant. The device comes in two colour options Cosmos Black and Space Silver. The phone comes with two displays that can also be used as a tab when unfolded. It is rumoured that Samsung is planning to sell 6 million units of Fold in 2020. Besides this, previous reports also suggest that the company is working on another variant of Galaxy Fold that will come with a clamshell-like design similar to Motorola Razr.
